Bloomberg wins third term, but Thompson wins Greenpoint

Mayor Michael Bloomberg squeaked by to a third term last night, with Greenpoint going for Democratic challenger Bill Thompson. Thompson won 49 percent of the vote, beating Bloomberg by 4 percentage points in the 50th District, which encompasses most of Greenpoint, unofficial results from the New York Times shows.
